Bayfair Redevelopment

As part of the Bayfair Redevelopment, 11,000m2 of space was added to the Mount Maunganui shopping centre, including a supermarket, a bigger retail precinct, alfresco dining and a new cinema complex.

The project began in 2017 while the existing center remained operational. There were tight timeframes for each stage of this project, and ensuring retailers could continue trading was crucial to its success.

CoBuilt was contracted to provide thermal insulation to the existing development. This was one of our biggest projects to date with over 10,000m2 of insulation. In addition we were contracted to carry out specialty ceiling finishes to a number of new tenancies.
